Let’s connect and create community!
Join us for a warm and inspiring gathering of international moms-to-be in Munich.
This meetup is all about sharing experiences, making friends, and enjoying creative and relaxing moments together.
Every evening we will offer a creative activity for you to connect. This can include quilting, painting, pottery and many others. We will also offer interesting talks about pregnancy and the opportunity to meet moms-to-be and walk the path together!
Some snacks and drinks will be served to enjoy while we connect.
Come as you are, bring your beautiful bump, and be part of our growing community of expecting moms!
Whether you’re an artist, designer, maker, writer, or simply love creating, we’d love for you to join our Creative Group at the studio!
Stacey and I created this group to help creatives in Munich connect, share ideas, and build a space where inspiration can flow. It’s a place to show your projects, ask for feedback or help, collaborate, and simply enjoy each other’s company. Every two months, we host a relaxed and inspiring roundtable at CANELA, where we discuss fascinating topics sometimes planned, sometimes we just go with the FLOW. Each gathering is different and fascinating , we meet new people and welcome the "alumni" which makes everything more special.
There’s no cost to participate, but we LoVe sharing with everyone our delicious Potluck where everyone brings food and drinks to share. Donations to the studio are welcome to help us keep this community space alive and thriving.

Join artists Mayra Franco and Erika Striegel for a vibrant, hands-on workshop where color theory meets culinary art!
This workshop is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to create stunning, hand-decorated cakes with elegant floral designs. We’ll start with Mayra by exploring the fundamentals of color and composition—essential tools for any artistic creation.
In the second part of the workshop, you’ll put this knowledge into practice by decorating your own 15 cm vanilla cake using spatulas and brushes. You’ll learn techniques to create flowers, textures, and artistic patterns, guided step by step by Erika.
By the end of the session, you’ll have gained both the artistic understanding and practical skills to create beautiful, hand-decorated cakes that truly impress.

Join us for the Munich Sewing Retreat – a two-day creative escape filled with uninterrupted sewing, “sewcializing,” and plenty of support! Held at the charming Canela Art Studio in central Munich, this weekend retreat offers a dedicated workspace, access to shared sewing tools, cutting and ironing stations, plus refreshments, charcuterie, and prosecco. Whether you're tackling unfinished projects or starting something new, you'll connect with a friendly community of sewing enthusiasts in a relaxed, inspiring environment. All sewing levels are welcome—just bring your machine, supplies, and passion for stitching!
